Sunflower Honey at Edge Optics
At Edge Optics, we’ve always been passionate about helping our community see clearly, but now, we’re excited to help you taste something special too! Our owner, Mindy, and her husband Dr. Bryant (yes, the same Dr. Bryant who takes care of your eyes!) have brought a little bit of their small family farm right into the shop.
Introducing Third Eye Farm Sunflower Honey: locally harvested, lovingly cared for, and now available at Edge Optics.
A Peek Into Life on Third Eye Farm
Mindy and her family live on a small, peaceful farm just outside town, surrounded by sunflowers, gardens, kids, animals, and—of course—bees. What started as a fun hobby turned into a true passion project for Mindy and Dr. Bryant, who work together to maintain their growing collection of healthy bee colonies.
Beekeeping has become part science, part art, and part daily meditation for them. From checking hives in early morning sunlight to spinning frames of golden honey in the summer, it’s become a family tradition that blends nature, curiosity, and a whole lot of love.
Why Sunflower Honey?
The farm is home to sprawling sunflowers that bloom brilliantly each year, creating the perfect summer buffet for the bees. Sunflower nectar produces a honey that is:
Bright and lightly floral
Smooth with a warm, sunny flavor
Packed with natural antioxidants
It’s a sunshine-in-a-jar kind of honey, and we’re thrilled to share it!
From Hive to Honey Jar
After years of tending to their hives, Mindy and Dr. Bryant decided it was time to share the harvest. Third Eye Farm Honey is now available to purchase right at Edge Optics, making it easy for our eyecare community to support local agriculture while enjoying something delicious.
Every jar is:
Harvested and bottled by hand
Made in small, sustainable batches
100% raw sunflower honey
Produced right here in Northern Colorado
Feel free to ask Mindy about the bees anytime; she will happily talk bees all day!
Come Try a Jar!
Next time you’re in for an appointment, need to pick up contacts, or just want to browse new frames, check out the new Third Eye Farm Sunflower Honey display. It’s the perfect gift, the perfect pantry staple, and the perfect way to support a tiny piece of local agriculture.
