If you’ve visited Edge Optics in Fort Collins recently, there’s a good chance you’ve met Cam, one of our talented Optometric Assistants whose enthusiasm for eye care is impossible to miss. With an early start in the optics world and a deep-rooted passion for science, Cam is well on his way toward a bright future in the field of optometry.

A Lifelong Love for Optics

Cam’s connection to eye care began early. After getting his first pair of glasses at just two years old, he spent plenty of time around optometrists and quickly developed an appreciation for the care, precision, and human connection at the heart of the profession. Those early experiences helped shape his long-term path toward becoming an optometrist.

Studying Food Science & Human Nutrition at CSU

Today, Cam is a dedicated student at Colorado State University, majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition on the pre-optometry track. He’s fascinated by how science influences overall wellness, something that supports not only healthy living but also long-term eye health.

Cam’s long-term goal is to earn his Doctor of Optometry (OD) and give back to patients the same quality care he received growing up.

A Natural Fit at Edge Optics

At Edge Optics, Cam puts his passion for science and people into action every day. As an Optometric Assistant, he helps with pre-testing, supports patient flow, and contributes to the warm, community-focused environment we’re known for. His curiosity and dedication make him a valuable part of our Fort Collins optical boutique team.

Cam loves connecting with patients, learning from our doctors, and gaining hands-on experience that’s preparing him for his future in optometry school.

Beyond the Clinic

When he’s not studying or working in our Fort Collins eye care office, Cam can usually be found exploring the outdoors. He loves hiking local trails, being in nature, and applying what he learns in his nutrition courses to everyday life. Sharing science, wellness, and healthy living tips with others has always been a passion of his.
